Sedo, one of the leading domain marketplaces, released the results of its Q3 2010 Domain Market Study. It reveals a continued healthy pace of sales with a small year-over-year uptick in transaction volume. The Sedo marketplace had a total of 10,085 sales during the quarter, a 1.58 percent increase from the same period last year, although slightly lower than the previous quarter. Total sales through Sedo were for more than $24.5 million in the period.
The average sales price of domain names increased for the third quarter in a row to an average of $2,033 per domain name. The average price for the sale of a .com name was also up for the third quarter in a row

Trends for country code domain names were mixed in the quarter. The .co.uk extension saw it’s highest averave prices over the last year, while average sales prices for .de, .at and .es had small decreases.
